Captain Stephan Pittman has spent the past 12 years mastering the rivers of Washington, offering anglers an unmatched fishing experience. Born and raised on the coast of Washington, his love for fishing began at an early age and quickly turned into a lifelong passion. He carried that enthusiasm into a full-time career, guiding anglers through some of the most productive waters in the Pacific Northwest. His expertise in steelhead and salmon fishing, combined with a deep respect for the local ecosystem, ensures an unforgettable fishing adventure.
Pittman Sportfishing is a family-run operation, built on years of hands-on experience and a commitment to high-quality fishing trips. Captain Pittman and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 16 years, raising their two incredible daughters, ages 10 and 16, while sharing a love for the outdoors. His in-depth knowledge of fish migration patterns, river conditions, and seasonal changes allows him to plan well-timed, productive trips. Whether guiding beginners or seasoned anglers, his patient and educational approach makes him a top choice for Washington river fishing.
With a specialty in catching winter steelhead, coho salmon, and chinook salmon, Captain Pittman combines proven techniques with a conservation-focused mindset. Over the years, he has earned a reputation for not only delivering successful fishing trips but also for educating guests on local fisheries, proper fishing methods, and the importance of preserving Washington’s natural habitats. His passion extends beyond the water, as he works to ensure future generations can enjoy the same incredible fishing experiences.
Guests aboard Pittman Sportfishing’s vessel can expect a well-equipped 21-foot jet boat designed for navigating Washington’s dynamic river systems. The boat features dual engines, a GPS, a fish finder, downriggers, and ample deck space for up to six guests. Its speed and maneuverability allow anglers to reach prime fishing spots that larger boats cannot access, maximizing the time spent casting in some of Washington’s most productive waters.
